The Brenda B7 uses a signal pin similar to the bare wire Brenda's that has been fabricated to accept wire for soldering.
A long track of nearly 9mm is located in the pin for securing the signal wire into place.
There are 2 'bays' on the Brenda B7 and 1 'bay' on the B7S. (For the B7, the first bay is for the signal and the second bay is for the return, which is soldered to the floor of the second bay behind the signal bay).
The Brenda B7 is 76mm long of which the body is 67mm long. The single bay B7S is shorter it being 69mm in total length, with the body section being 60mm long. For both B7 and B7S, the outer barrel diameter is 13mm and uses Teflon as the main insulator.
The main material used for their construction is high purity copper, which is then silver plated.
After the cable has been soldered into place, heatshrink is applied to cover the exposed bay(s) and the cable tail.
Optionally some urethane can be sprayed into the bays or they can be filled with neutral setting silicone to fully seal the cable into the connector. Heatshrink should always be applied after the assembly is completed.
The Brenda B7/B7S will accommodate cable diameters up to 11 mm in diameter ( 7/16 in diameter).
